Villa Raffaella Assisted Living is owned and operated by the Hospitaler Sisters of Mercy. Our Mission is based on our commitment to human dignity and service to others. We strive to be role models of Gospel values in our commitment to the individual dignity of those for whom we provide care. Our intent is to offer supportive personal care and health services in an environment that promotes resident values.
At Villa Raffaella we are dedicated to creating an environment that allows older adults to maintain control of their life choices, where dignity and independence is preserved by encouraging resident self-direction. Our primary goal is to promote resident decision-making and sense of control, so that his/her individuality, dignity, privacy and independence are maintained.
For decades, the Hospitaler Sisters of Mercy have worked in service of seniors, the sick and disenfranchised. In 2000, the Sisters felt it was time to establish a new assisted living community in New Jersey. Our goal was to meet the needs of the growing senior citizen population in southern New Jersey. Our sisters live on campus in a separate community and are on site 24 hours/day, seven days/week to provide for the needs of our assisted living residents.
Founded in 1821, the Hospitaler Sisters of Mercy are a Roman Catholic congregation of religious Sisters who are dedicated to providing care for the sick. The Hospitaler Sisters of Mercy are an international congregation with serving in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Villa Raffaella Assisted Living is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services to provide Assisted Living services. Villa Raffaella Assisted Living proudly enjoys “Advanced Standing” designation from the Healthcare Association of New Jersey and New Jersey Department of Health.
