We at Villa Raffaella recognize that residents have their own individual routines, interests, capabilities, and needs.  Our goal is to preserve and accommodate their individuality.  We begin with an assessment by our Wellness Director.  Working in partnership with the residents, their families, and physicians, we determine the level of service and assistance they require or prefer.  We know that many residents are capable of meeting some of their own needs, and that families often want to remain involved in care giving.  The assessment helps everyone involved determine what roles the residents, their families, and Villa Raffaella will play in making sure that needs are met.  The level of service that we provide is based on the resident's preference and a philosophy of promoting independence.

 

Basic standard services that we provide to all residents include:

 

- Three meals per day (and snacks) -

Professional nurse on call, 24 hours a day

 

- Scheduled  transportation -

Programs and activities seven days a week

 

- Weekly housekeeping and linen changes -

Routine maintenance of buildings and grounds

     
Additional services are available and are provided based on need and resident preference as defined in a general or health service plan, including:
  Personal Care Services Health Services
  - Personal Hygiene - Assisting with medications
  - Bathing - Monitoring health
  - Dressing and Undressing - Responding to, and treating health problems
  - Nighttime care - Ordering health supplies
  - Toileting - Arranging physician appointments
  Cognitive Services Food Services
  - Orientation - Special preparation and presentation of food
  - Communication - Assistance with eating
  - Activities  
  Housing Services Other Services
  - Extra Housekeeping - Arranging personal transportation
  - Extra linen service - Assisting with personal business matters
  - Personal laundry - Assisting with special services like shoe shining, clothes mending, dry cleaning, etc.
- Non-routine maintenance
     
     
Some services may require additional fees which are negotiated with the resident and are based on the level of care required.
